“Shoot and Print” function now also available for JET2neo

With  the  new  “Shoot  and  Print“  function  com- pany  LEIBINGER  provides  a  new  feature  for  its inkjet  printers  to  increase  production  security and to prevent operator errors in the production.

Faults like typos and a wrong choice of print jobs shouldn´t happen in any production line. Nevertheless under manual operation of the printer or when time is tough errors like this can happen. To prevent such errors effectively, LEIBINGER now offers a practical solution.

Due to the almost unlimited storage capability of the LEIBINGER JET3 and JET2neo all print jobs necessary for the production can be stored preconfigured in the printers. These jobs than will be loaded via a handheld scanner. Therefore the production planning department prints an appropriate barcode on the job ticket. To load the correct print job, this barcode simply gets scanned by the production staff. Typos and incorrect entry are prevented effectively.

Besides selecting of a print job via a handheld scanner, at the JET3, also content can be loaded directly to the print job when scanning the barcode.

The  connection  of  these  scanners  is  very  simple. For the JET2neo just use the available USB interface. For the JET3 please use the RS232 port.

With the “Shoot and Print” function also less qualified staff can select the print jobs. Due to this automated job selection, issued by barcodes on the production orders, choosing the correct job is guaranteed. For enterpri- ses this means a prevention of typing errors, wrong selected print jobs and implification of the processes.

The   standard   software   with   the   „Shoot   and Print“   functionality   now   is   available   free   of charge   for   all   LEIBINGER   JET3   and   JET2neo.

Evolis-Nederland introduceert een nieuw bezoekersbeheer softwarepakket: Hello Visitor.

Het pakket Hello Visitor bestaat uit een Cardprinter, rewriteable kaarten en een softwarepakket.

Met het softwarepakket Hello Visitor kunnen gebruikers in combinatie met een Evolis Cardprinter de bezoekers registreren en voorzien van een herkenbare bezoekersbadge. Deze bedrijfsbadges zijn meerdere keren te gebruiken door de herprintbare laag op de badge.

In het complete pakket Hello Visitor wordt een Tattoo Rewrite cardprinter meegeleverd. Deze cardprinter wist na gebruik de variabele geprinte gegevens op de badge en print de badge voor de volgende bezoeker.

Met het bezoekersbeheersoftware pakket Hello Visitor is het mogelijk om de badge te personaliseren en tegelijk te registreren in het systeem.  Het beheerspakket geeft de gebruiker een goed overzicht van de op dat moment in gebruik zijnde badges. In noodgevallen is met een druk op de knop een uitdraai te maken van de nog aanwezige bezoekers.

Het (tijdelijk) personeel  is zo ook te voorzien van een toegangsbadge.

Rewriteable badges zijn ook leverbaar met RFID-chips, magstripe etc voor uw toegangsautorisatiesysteem.

Een rewrite badge is ook leverbaar als Bio Degradable waarbij de badge aan het einde van de lange levensduur ook nog composteerbaar is.  Deze milieu vriendelijkere oplossing is dus ook duurzaam.

Kortho distributor Malkris in Malaysia has sold two rotary printing stations, equipped with each two Kortho M-150 Hotfoil printers.

The customer, a Russian manufacturer of plastic security seals (PP & PE), was already using several of Malkris' linear print stations, also fitted with M-150 printers.

These linear print stations with indexing table have an output of approximately 1.800 seals/hour and the customer requested a machine with higher output and even better print quality.

The new, rotary print station with indexing table has 6 positions, allowing for faster positioning of the seals and removing the printed ones, while the capacity has doubled to 3.600 seals/hour.

LEIBINGER JET3 prints the PPN Code.

EU Directive for the increase of counterfeit prevention of medicine – LEIBINGER JET3 complies with the printing provisions.

With the introduction of the Directive 2011/62/EU on June 8th, 2011, the EU has gone the next step towards the counterfeit prevention of medicine. Beside additional requirements during production this regulation, for medicine facing a counterfeit risk, requires a security mark printed on the outside
packaging. This feature enables all persons involved in the distribution chain (manufacturers, distributors, pharmacies and much more) to verify the authentici- ty of the medicine as well as to identify the individu- al packaging.

As part of the terms, dictating a conversation of this regulation in existing national law until early 2013, the European confederation agreed on implementing a new form of coding.

Under the project name „secure pharm" the intro- duction of the so-called PPN (Pharmacy Product Number) was decided. Using this PPN, which is allocated individually per packaging independent of the product and manufacturer, the authenticity of the product can be comprehended – from production, through intermediate trade to sell.

On the packages this new PPN number will be prin- ted as part of the new PPN code containing several information like batch numbers, best-before date
as well as data, depending on various other factors. The basis of the PPN is the PZN (pharmaceutical central number), which is in Germany already cus- tomary.

This EU Directive will require changes in many are- as. As a leading manufacturer of continuous inkjet printers for marking and coding we already offer a solution.

With the LEIBINGER JET3, manufacturers are able to comply with the new regulation. The LEIBINGER JET3 printer prints the new PPN code on packaging in usually high quality. The required data are trans- mitted to the printer through lists or via external text.

The function for printing the PPN Code is available in all JET3 standard softwares No.: ...14 and higher. Printers with older software versions can be updated for free.
